A project I adapted from an earlier one (which can be found in my illustrative work folder) This was a real passion project for me. Watcher of the Wild started as an experimental book project that I revisited as a motion design project. It is an abstract take on the effects of deforestation. All of the images were hand drawn by me using my iPad and then put into video editing software.
The parameters for this project were to recreate an opening credit roll for a movie. I chose Halloween to pay homage to one of my favourite series and choose to hand-draw all the assets. I took inspiration from things like the Catch Me if you Can opening as well as keeping the nostalgic and iconic feel of the singular pumpkin imagery in the original opening of the film.
